Sail with SEAS — the best value on the Hudson!
SEAS members may participate in seasonal "open sails" — on weekends and weeknights. We also host year-round social events, speaker sessions, fleet maintenance/instruction and larger sailing outings. Basic Sailing Courses: Held throughout the summer, held across weeknight classroom instruction and weekend on-the-water training. A great way to learn the basics and get on the water! Register online now!
Open Sails: Held on weekends or after-work weeknights, "sunset" and even some weekday daytime sails allow members to access the boats and practice their sailing skills. You must be a current member who has passed our Basic Sailing Class (or members who have shown ability to sail our boats). Join online now! Instructor: Any member can work towards being a SEAS Sailing Instructor, we will teach you. Experienced sailing instructor who wants to to help? Contact us!
Fleet Maintenance: From prepping new boats, laying down moorings, to testing/organizing gear, come learn how to care for and fix and boats and other equipment.
Open Houses @ Kingsland: Once in March and again in April we host an open house where we provide tours of the boat house and provide information about our organization and courses.
SailFest: This year SEAS Westchester will host the other 3 SEAS chapters for a day of sailing, food and community spirt! Look for information about this event which should happen in September.
Tarrytown & Sleepy Hollow Farmer's Market (TaSH): We'll bring sailboat signups and excitement to Patriot's Park and share our SEAS experiences with the Community and recruit new members! SEAS member who wants to help? Contact us!
Sleepy Hollow hosts the Mermaid Fest at Kingsland: In Mid July, Sleepy Hollow & Kingsland host a day of community celebration that encourages Hudson River access and education. Included are land and water parade, music, community art, face painting, food trucks, bounce houses, costumes, etc. We share our SEAS experiences with the Community and recruit new members! Sail board boats up river: from Kingsland to Ossining followed by light refreshments. Happens in June. Then at the end of the season we Sail them back down after labor day followed by more light refreshments.
Holiday party: In December we have our Holiday party. Bring food for 10 or 12 people and share the lack of sailing. (Unless you are going on a cruise…) Cash bar.
